Adam Gorsky is GotSome’s DJ extraordinaire, a man who can turn his hand to spinning anything from UK garage to dancehall and house with style and panache. The other half of the duo is Alex Holmes, a studio hound with a deep knowledge of engineering and sonic manipulation, and the ability to refine sound to a professional standard, bringing the pair a nomination in the 2015 Bass Music Awards Best Producers category. Together they have formed an untouchable alliance, which has led to a slew of bass-heavy, dance floor destroyers and Among them is ‘Bassline’, championed by Radio 1’s B.Traits and Annie Mac and signed to Defected Records with a huge package of remixes from house legend Kenny Dope, Friend Within, Chus + Ceballos and Chocolate Puma. The track was also re-released via Ministry Of Sound/Hed Kandi in Australia and New Zealand, attracting a whole new audience in the southern hemisphere in the process.
More recently they collaborated with the ‘Godfather of grime’ Wiley to produce ‘Vibe Out’, which was signed to Chase & Status’ inimitable label MTA Records. They have also dropped a succession of equally lauded, bombastic productions including; ‘If You Wanna’ (with Tazer), ‘Move It Back’ (with AC Slater) and ‘Run Di Dance’, which was recorded with Jus Now at Red Bull Studios in London. Red Bull have given the duo huge support since they exploded onto the scene, with appearances at their 5th birthday party together with a specially commissioned mix and studio sessions. The duo have also lent their talents to a plethora of remixes, injecting some bass weight into official reworks for the likes of Basement Jaxx, Róisín Murphy, Junior Jack, FCL, Moko, Sure Thing and Jax Jones with more to come.
